The Prier Stem Assembly 231-0001 is for the a few Prier faucets. Including the C135 still faucet and the C138 hose bib. This stem is brass. And has male threads on the body of the stem. Mansfield's brass was bought out by Prier years ago. Also the seal on the end of this stem where the screw is, is rubber. The 231-0001 stem is durable and simple to install

The Mansfield by Prier stem assembly is made of brass. Also on the long end of the stem it is flat on both sides. Also the inside of the end has female threads to connect to the faucet.
